Pie Crust
This is an excellent pie crust recipe for Toni’s cook book.
Ingredients:
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 lb pastry lard
- 2 tsp salt
- 4 tsp brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- water
***liquid mixture should make approximately 1 cup.
Directions:
- Blend lard into other dry ingredients to crumbly consistency.
- Moisten with the egg / vinegar /water mixture.
- Wrap in wax paper, and place in fridge approximately 15 minutes before rolling.
