Pie Crust

This is an excellent pie crust recipe for Toni’s cook book.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 lb pastry lard
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp brown sugar

 

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • water 

***liquid mixture should make approximately 1 cup.

Pie Crust

Directions:

  1. Blend lard into other dry ingredients to crumbly consistency.
  2. Moisten with the egg / vinegar /water mixture.
  3. Wrap in wax paper, and place in fridge approximately 15 minutes before rolling.
