Chocolate Chip Cookies
A soft chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe that is a breeze to make. We usually have to double the batch so theres enough cookies after the kids have some.
Makes 2.5 dozen cookies.
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- 2 cups lightly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cups Milk Chocolate Chips (can substitute with peanut butter chips or butter scotch chips)
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375F.
- In large bowl, beat melted butter, brown sugar, eggs and hot water until smooth.
- In medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- Stir into butter mixture until blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop from small tbsp onto un-greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
- Let cool 1 minute; remove to wire rack.
