Instructions
Brown ground beef and onions, drain fat drippings.
Chopped vegetables, take diced tomatoes and chopped even more (I like to use a hand crank chopper, mine is from Tupperware).
Combine cooked hamburger with all other ingredients in a large pot (cooking it in a pot needs to be stirred ALOT [a heavy duty thick bottom pot works best to prevent bottom from burning]. I prefer to use a crock pot).
Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered until barley is cooked (approximately 1 1/2 hours). Taste frequently and add salt to taste.
When cooked, turn off heat and add chopped green onions.
