Apple Sauce

This is an excellent topping for french toast or pancakes.  Makes enough for one batch of pancakes (about 8).

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 2 cup Apples (Peeled and chopped)
  • 1/8 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch (for thickening)
Instructions
  1. Peel and chop apples.
  2. Place water and sugar in small pot.
  3. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar.
  4. Add fruit and turn down heat to medium, cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add cinnamon.
  6. Dissolve cornstarch in a little bit of water (just enough to dissolve the water)
  7. Turn heat to high and slowly stir in dissolved cornstarch to thicken mixture.
  8. Serve with fresh french toast or pancakes.
